AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
INITIAL CURE PERIOD
Immediately following the completion of the MACH-10 installation, your coating will have completed its initial cure. Your vehicle is safe to drive and get wet.
Over the next 3-4 days, the coating undergoes a final curing phase. During this final cure, it is crucial to follow these precautions to ensure the best results:
Avoid parking under trees when possible, especially those shedding sap, pollen, or debris.
Remove water spots, bird droppings, sap, or pollen ASAP to prevent them from binding with the coating before it has fully hardened. A wipe down with a damp rag should do the trick.
Do not wash or abrade the paint—the coating is still settling.
Be gentle when removing contaminants like water spots, bugs, or tree sap.
Once the final cure is complete (after 3-4 days), normal washing and maintenance can begin.
MAINTAINING YOUR COATING
Maintaining your coating is as simple as keeping your countertops clean. To preserve its durability and shine, follow these best practices:
REGULAR CLEANING
Use MACH-10 Maintenance Spray for optimal upkeep. Simply spray and wipe the surface with a light touch to avoid scratches.
For best results, wash your car bi-weekly to prevent excessive contamination buildup.
Remove water spots promptly before they bake into the coating.
Bird droppings should be cleaned as soon as possible. A hose is safe to use for removal.
Never air dry—always use microfiber towels to prevent water spots.
Avoid direct sunlight when washing to minimize streaking and water spotting.
Always dry with a clean microfiber towel if untreated water is introduced to the surface.
Wash from the top down, leaving the dirtiest areas for last to avoid contamination.
Use a separate sponge/mitt for wheels.
Never use brushes on the paint.
WASHING METHODS:
Use MACH-10 Maintenance Spray for optimal upkeep. Simply spray and wipe the surface with a light touch to avoid scratches.
If MACH-10 spray is unavailable, utilize one of the following processes:
Use a foam cannon with pH neutral car soap. Rinse with a pressure washer or hose and dry with a microfiber towel.
Use the two-bucket method: one for soapy water and one for dirty water.
If rinsing loose contaminants with a hose, avoid washing in direct sunlight, as it can cause water spots. Always hand dry when finished,
Automated Car Washes: Touch-free washes only—never use a wash with brushes as it can damage the coating. Do not select the "spray wax" option.
DRYING TECHNIQUES
Always dry completely—do not leave water to air dry to avoid mineral deposits.
Use clean & high-quality microfiber towels for the best results.
Avoid aggressive wiping—let the towel absorb the water naturally.
SPOT REMOVAL
Never use aggressive products like scrub brushes or acids to polish the coating or remove surface contamination. A clay bar or clay mitt is recommended.
Do not apply excessive force to remove water spots.
Remove bird droppings, tar, and sap immediately to prevent hardening. Any minor stains left behind will break down over a few days without damaging the coating.
Use MACH-10 maintenance spray, water or diluted vinegar to clean bird droppings, bugs, and sap. Wipe gently with a soft, edge-less microfiber towel.
WAXING AND CERAMIC BOOSTERS
You do not need to apply waxes, sealants, or ceramic boosters on top of the coating. These products can interfere with the coating’s performance, reducing its hydrophobic and self-cleaning properties.
If wax is applied without proper surface preparation, it can trap contaminants between the wax and the coating, leading to potential surface damage or reduced effectiveness.
The coating is designed to perform at its best without additional protection layers. Stick to MACH-10 Maintenance Spray for proper upkeep and protection.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTIONS
To ensure peak performance and maintain warranty validity, we recommend an annual inspection by an approved applicator within 30 days of the anniversary date of the last service. This helps preserve the coating’s durability, protection, and gloss.
During the annual maintenance service, our technician will perform a clay bar or clay mitt treatment to maintain optimal coating performance. If the customer does not get the annual warranty service, they should perform this treatment themselves once a year using a clay bar or clay mitt lubricated with MACH-10 Maintenance Spray.
Following these simple aftercare instructions will maximize the lifespan of your coating, keeping your vehicle looking pristine for years to come.
